It was a bright and sunny day in Singapore, and I decided to treat myself to a unique experience at the "I Love Cat Cafe." As a cat lover, the idea of enjoying my favorite beverage and snacks surrounded by adorable felines was simply irresistible. The cafe was conveniently located at 749 Geylang Rd, Lor 39, making it an easy choice for my weekend adventure.
As I approached the cafe, I noticed its charming exterior adorned with colorful cat-themed decorations. The sight of a cute cat drawing on the signboard brought an instant smile to my face. With eager anticipation, I stepped inside, and a soothing aroma of coffee and freshly baked pastries greeted me.
The interior was cozy and inviting, with soft ambient music playing in the background. The walls were adorned with cat photos, and shelves displayed the cat-themed merchandise that they put up for sale. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, just like being in a friend's living room.
Upon entering, I was greeted by Nina, the woman in charge, who exuded genuine warmth and enthusiasm. Her love for cats was apparent in the way she spoke about each furry resident of the cafe. She introduced me to Miki, the British Short Hair cat who was in a Kimono costumes. She looks rather elegant and beautiful that I personally think she likes her costume by the looks of it too. Blackie, the affectionate black cat, trotted over and rubbed against my leg, asking for some attention, irresistible. Then I saw one of the visitors who was admiring a cat name Paw Paw, a chunky fluffy Exotic Shorthair cat who looks like he doesn’t care about anything else except foods and naps, but I think he secretly loves cuddles cause he is shaped as cuddle-plushies. He is just too cute. I also got introduced to Tales, Charcoal and LV, all are adorable in their own way, greeting me and waiting for someone to play with them.
Choosing a seat by the window, I ordered a cappuccino and a slice of cheesecake. As I waited for my order, I couldn't help but observe the enchanting interactions between the cafe's visitors and the resident cats. Patrons were laughing, taking photos, and enjoying heartwarming moments with the furry companions.
Once my coffee and cake arrived, I savored the delicious flavors while simultaneously enjoying the calming presence of the cats. The cafe had a few rules to ensure the well-being of the feline residents, such as not disturbing them while they were resting and using gentle gestures during playtime. Nina and her staff ensured that the environment remained peaceful and stress-free for the cats, allowing them to be their true selves.
Before I knew it, hours had passed, and I reluctantly decided it was time to bid farewell to the charming feline companions and the lovely atmosphere of I Love Cat Cafe. I thanked Nina and her team for creating such a magical space where cat lovers like me could find solace and happiness.
Leaving the cafe with a heart full of joy and contentment, I knew that I would return to this delightful haven again and again. The visit to I Love Cat Cafe was not just a memorable experience, but a reminder of the beautiful connections we can make with these endearing creatures that bring so much love into our lives.
